My name is Vishwesh Rai (he/him). I graduated with Bachelors from NIT Nagpur (Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur, formerly VRCE Nagpur), in 2015, 
and Masters from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in 2017, both majoring in Chemical Engineering. Currently, I am pursuing doctoral research (Ph.D.) at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. Before beginning my training for a research-based career in 2020, I worked as an assistant manager for a major biopharmaceuticals manufacturer/researcher for three years (2017-2020). My career prospects lean towards being part of cutting-edge research in the healthcare industry and hopefully make a change.

My leisure times are usually spent reading non-fiction, sketching portraits or backpacking into the wilderness. I recently started training for endurance runs and have also been participating in 10K and half-marathons. I am nerdy when it comes to tech and have a penchant for science fiction, Wallstreet, geo-politics, and history-of-science.
